Flares and Fur

Hello dolls!  I have always been a sucker for a great flare pant.  I adore the 70’s vibe of the style, and the shape is so flattering and fun.  Brace yourselves…I found the perfect pair.  So good in fact, I almost want to keep the secret to myself, but I couldn’t do something so rude to y’all.  The beauties are the Berkley Bells, by the beautiful boho designer, Show Me Your Mumu. Here’s the 411 on these bombshells; there is no zipper or buttons, you just shimmy shake them up your body.  They run quite narrow, I recommend sizing up.  I am usually an XS, and am wearing a S in this pant…and indeed, a small dance is required to get them on!  But once they are on, it’s like wearing yoga pants, so comfortable. The high waist and snug fit perfectly mold to your bod.  I did need to get them hemmed, as they run rather long, but the affordable price point of the pant makes it no biggie.  Styling these bad boys is easy as pie, they look good with everything!  I love them with a fitted tee shirt, a cozy sweater, a polished blazer, or your favorite cool jacket.  Oversized sunglasses, a scarf around the neck, or a stylish hat, are all great additions to the look.  Today I am rolling with a sleeveless blazer from Zara, my favorite white Rag and Bone booties (currently on sale at Shopbop), and retro Chloe sunglasses.

I’m sharing one more current obsession with y’all today, this darling jacket, by Chicago designer Lola and The Boys.  The perfectly distressed denim is fully lined with genuine Fox fur.  I have been rocking this jacket everyday lately, perfect for this weird Chicago weather!  Lola and The Boys is primarily a chic children’s online clothing boutique.  All you stylish Mama’s out there need to check out this line….cuteness overload. I never thought I would be jealous of kids clothes, but they are really that good!

For weekend days when you re spending your day shopping, or going to brunch, I love a sweater and a fur vest in place of a coat.
