Hello again loves! I’m back to share a fun and festive holiday look, as well as another dose of gift suggestions. First things first…the outfit. I have been pining for a pleated skirt for a hot minute, and the search was quite a struggle. I found many styles not to be flattering. This beauty by Alice and Olivia stole my heart! Great quality, perfect fit, and a shimmery shade of gold, that gives the piece a lux vibe. A basic white crop top by Topshop keeps the focus on the fabulous skirt. I love the look of a casual beanie, paired with glam hair, and a dressy outfit. Adds a fun “I don’t take myself too seriously” vibe to the ensemble. My white boots are by Rag and Bone, shades by Chloe, and groovy fanny pack by Tamara Mellon. Although the skirt is quite fancy, it looks adorable dressed down, with cute white tennis shoes and a fitted t-shirt.

Let’s talk gifting. As I mentioned in my previous post, I am all about packaging gifts in the darling boxes featured. You can find these cuties at Target, the designer is Sugar Paper. So cute. And yes, these white and gold packages perfectly match my outfit! And yes, I planned that 🙂 My gift tip today is for a very challenging subject…Dads. Am I the only person who has shamefully wrapped up a bag of Snickers candy bars for my Pops? Dads are simple dudes, who really just want time with their kids, no matter how big of a kid you are. If you are still stumped as to what to gift your old man, I suggest making a coupon for something to do together. A sporting event, tickets to a show, a meal at his favorite spot…something you know he will love, and that you can enjoy together. I once gifted my Daddy tickets for us to attend a Chicago Bulls game together. He was estastic! We sat in the very last row, not one soul sitting behind us, but we had the best time. Because again, Dads just want to hangout. For you local Chicago babes, I also recommend M2 boutique on Southport, for finding great gifts for Dad. They have an awesome selection of gadgets, Chicago sports memorabilia and swag, interesting books, and silly socks. Dads love socks.
“Life is better when wearing a glittery gold skirt”~ deep words by me.
“A daughter needs a Dad to be the standard against which she will judge all men.”~ a very smart person I found on Pinterest.
