Hello Lovelies! It has been an action packed weekend full of family, friends, and of course a healthy dose of fashion, so I was anxious to hook y’alls up with a recap! I am proud to say my Chez dad/Father-in-law, is the Executive Producer of Woody Allen’s most recent film, Cafe Society. This past hot and steamy Thursday evening, my family and best girlfriends hit the red carpet at the Chicago History Museum, to celebrate the premiere. Cafe Society paints a stunning vision of 1930s vintage Hollywood glam, from the beautiful cinematography, to the gorgeous costumes. The soundtrack features lovely jazz music, as well as the great Woody Allen himself narrating. The romance is steamy, and the wisecracking wit is undeniably entertaining. Grab a girlfriend or man friend, and go see it darlings!
Sooo…what did I wear?! I have mentioned in previous posts my favorite Chicago boutique, Mulberry and Me. The owner, Jana, has a great sense of style, and carries the perfect variety of looks, ranging from stylish sweatpants, to formal dresses and jumpsuits. She recommended this vegan leather dress by Bailey44 for the event, and it was perfect. My husband thought I looked smokin hot, AND my mom approved it…two giant triumphs! Black may always be on trend, but this LWD is a fresh switch up. The gathered waist makes a flattering fit, and the length is sophisticated, yet still a bit sassy. I scored my blowout and braid at Griffin Parc Salon in Bucktown. They offer 25 dollar blowouts, and do a fantastic job!
“If you’re not failing every now and again, it’s a sign you’re not doing anything very innovative”~ Woody Allen
Make it a great week, Loves!
