Tips for hosting a bombshell Bachelorette bash!

Hello lovers!  Love is in the air…wedding season has arrived! Every girls girl knows that behind every great wedding is a great bachelorette party.  And so today I am sharing my tips for throwing a killer lady bash.  I had the good fortune of putting my own helpful tips into motion recently when I hosted my sweet cousin Amy’s last fling before saying I Do. I knew I wanted a clean aesthetic with feminine touches and nothing too cheesy….but I needed a pop of something fun to scream CELEBRATION!  To my delight I found the answer….BALLOONS!  Shopparis312 is a local Chicago company that DELIVERS stunning balloons for every occasion to your doorstep.  Cha-ching! My guests went wild for them and they made the most darling backdrop for photos. There’s a great variety of balloons for every occasion available on their site.  In addition to the giant cheers letters, I choose a couple of jumbo balloons and coordinating tassels.  The customer service and quality of the products were fantastic. I will absolutely be using Shopparis312 again….and I can’t wait!

The balloons held up amazingly well…here they are 3 weeks later! My crafty husband flipped the S to make it CHEZ!

A properly posh ladies celebration calls for a specialty cocktail.  I decided to roll with what’s trending….frose all day baby!  Sooooo yummy!  Pinterest explodes with recipes when you search frose.  I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any but I can promise the Bon Appetite version I followed is great.  I used the first two roses on this list from Trader Joe’s…both under 10 dollars and delicious.  I made an additional batch using Pinot Noir (also from TJ’s because I am obsessed:) in case a guest didn’t fancy rose, and that batch turned out delicious as well.  The recipe calls for serving the strawberries on the side…I recommend blending them into the drink for more of a smoothie texture.  Either way this is the best summer drink ever!  My festive cups and napkins came from  M2 boutique, one of my favorite shops for party decor and gifts. Hello lovely cutting board from Anthropologie…irresistibly cute!

Next category…gift suggestions for the guest of honor.  I prefer a feminine flower crown to a sash or tiara.  Forever 21 has the cutest options that won’t break the bank.  If the Bride is a beach babe, I love these fun swimsuits by T&J Designsperfect for a Saturday or  Sunday Funday and affordable.  If your Bride is more of a glam girl, go for a bright lip color or glittery eyeshadow.  My picks are Kat Von D lip stain in shade Bachelorette (obviously) and Stila glitter liquid eye color.

Photos one and two taken by my super blogger mommy…the rest by my girl Olivia Szwarc.

A big thanks to Amy, my beautiful cousin and bride-to-be for inspiring this post…and wearing a flower crown for me. I love you and I can’t wait to see you get all wifed up!
