Tis the season to shop! Round Two of Festive Fashions: The Casual Chic Edition

Hello again lovelies!  Today I’m serving up round two of my current favorite looks, casual style. There is so much to love about the holiday season, such as the excuse to dress extra fancy schmancy! I am all about sequins, faux fur, feathers, and party dresses…the more bling the better. But since not every day calls for red carpet glam, here’s a few of my favorite outfits more appropriate for a normal day running to the Home Depot to grab more Christmas lights!

First up, we have this snappy outfit from Topshop.  We saw lace-up fronts dominate the runway last spring, and I’ve been on the lookout for the right piece ever since. This lace up top is the perfect price and fit to make the statement with.  Maybe I’m in the slow group in discovering Topshop jeans, but better late than never!  I’m obsessed! Flattering, comfortable, and under $100! Order one size larger than normal.  The hat was a birthday gift from my hubby, my second beauty by Janessa Leone.  If you are unsure about taking the hat plunge, stop talking yourself out of it, and do it. Don’t take it off, even if you are eating a big nasty cheeseburger.  A gal in a hat is a force to be reckoned with! Commit to it, and rock it.

I was clearly not kidding about deeming this look Home Depot appropriate.

70’s inspired suede has been sweeping the fashion scene lately, and I have been on the perfect jacket prowl! This jacket is a dream, and the price is right. Shop local at Chicago boutique Kiz to find this beauty, jeans as well.  Olivaceous suede jacket, jeans by Flying Monkey.  I’m typically all about my sleek Stuart Weitzman boots, but these new friends of mine by Dolce Vita have such a casual cool vibe.

Makeup deets! Bobbi Brown bronzing powder shade Natural 1, Nars velvet matte lip pencil shade Cruella, topped off with Nars gloss in Sixties fan.

I have struggled to understand the dorky Christmas sweater fad, but I am vibing on this cozy cutie by H&M.  She is fiercely festive, but styled up with the right skinnies still looks polished.

It's all about the deets! Sparkly heels by Kate Spade and my favorite red lipstain by YSL seal the deal.

Fur and feathers have proven to be a culture of fashion, and are hotter than ever right now.  I love this pale pink feather tank by Line and Dot.  You can find this beauty at my favorite Chicago boutique, Mulberry and Me, or shop Line and Dot online.

More makeup deets! Find the perfect pink glow with Hourglass lighting blush in Mood Exposure. Fill your lips in with Mac lip liner in Spice (I’ve been using this for YEARS! The best lip base ever), and top with Nars gloss in Super Orgasm for the prettiest pout in town.

Fur vests are a must for winter, and this understated beauty by BB Dakota is perfection.  Style with a classic black turtleneck for a dressier occasion, or rock it with a tee and boyfriend jeans for a more laidback look.

Vest and turtleneck also from Mulberry and Me.

One last look to convince you that yes, you need a black turtleneck! Sleek and sophisticated, and so many options for styling.
